“Stillness is not about focusing on nothingness; it’s about creating an emotional clearing to allow ourselves to feel, think, dream and question.”
Brené Brown
Why We Exist
At Still Counselling, we believe in creating space to pause — a calm, safe environment where individuals and couples can find clarity, healing, and direction.
Our practice blends compassion with evidence-based therapy, offering support to those navigating life transitions, relationship challenges, emotional overwhelm, or simply seeking personal growth.
Whether you're new to therapy or returning with fresh goals, Still Counselling is a space to feel seen, supported, and empowered to reimagine your story, build stronger relationships, and improve your emotional and mental wellbeing.
Meet Elly
Elly Welke | Founder of Still Counselling | BMin, MCoun, MACA
Elly holds a Master of Counselling from Monash University and is a registered Level 2 member of the Australian Counselling Association (ACA). She offers confidential, evidence-based therapy and draws on approaches like Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), tailored to each person’s needs.
With a background in healthcare and perinatal support, Elly has experience working with people facing grief, serious illness, trauma, and major life changes. Her approach is always compassionate, respectful, and centred around the unique story of each client.
Elly is especially passionate about supporting people through challenges such as pregnancy and early parenthood, cancer, loss, relationship stress, and the demands of caregiving or working in healthcare.
Originally from regional Western Australia, Elly understands how hard it can be to access the right help when you need it. That’s why she offers flexible options, including online (Zoom) and phone counselling, with some after-hours appointments available — to make support more accessible for those with busy schedules, health concerns, or who live remotely.
